Linguist, political theorist and philosopher, Dante Alighieri explored the human soul leaving a strong influence on Italian literature, which led to consider him as “the Supreme poet” or “The poet”.
This grand tour celebrates Dante in his most significant and most unusual places between Tuscany, Emilia Romagna: Florence, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni, the Mugello Area, Forlì and Faenza, and finally Ravenna, where the Poet lived his last years after the exile and where his grave is located.
Dante is the father of the Italian language and one of the most important cultural characters of the country. Italy celebrated the Supreme Poet with a whole year full of events after 700 years since his death.
